# Math Test Tomorrow!

It’s that time again . . . unit 5 math test.  Today we completed a review in class of the material on tomorrow’s test.  Unit 6 focused on long division, angles & coordinate grids.  To prepare for a math test we need to PRACTICE.  Students have the OPPORTUNITY to practice for their test and earn bonus points (5 points!).  They have two options to practice:

1. Make a practice test with 20 problems (Must contain a variety of problems).  The mathboxes and journal pages are a great place to find math problems for a practice test.  Students must complete the practice test and return it tomorrow to receive the bonus points.

2. PlayJeopardy and keep track of your work on a 5×5 grid.  See directions below.

Jeopardy Game Directions:

• Open file by clicking on the words Jeopardy above
• Click “Play slideshow from beginning”
• Once you are at the game board, choose a place to begin and click on it.  You may get a warning (Security Alert-Macro) . . . the file is fine.  You can click on “enable content” or try to X out of the box.  The game should be ready to go!
• Read question and answer on your game board (5 x 5 grid).  Remember to show all your work-not just answer.  Use back if you need more room.
• To reveal the answer on the computer click anywhere in the question box and the answer will show up on top.
• Click on the HOUSE button to return to the game board and select another question.  Questions already answered should be highlighted a different color.
• HAVE FUN!!!!

1. Make a practice test with 20 problems (Must contain a variety of problems).  The mathboxes and journal pages are a great place to find math problems for a practice test.  Students must complete the practice test and return it tomorrow to recieve the bonus points.

# Math Test!

We have a math test tomorrow for unit 1.  Today we completed a review in class of the material on tomorrow’s test.  We discussed that to prepare for a math test, we need to PRACTICE.  Students have the OPPORTUNITY to practice for their test and earn bonus points (5 points!).  They have two options to practice:

2. Play Jeopardy and keep track of your work on a 4×4 grid.  You may get an error message about “macros” and “viruses”  . . . this file DOES NOT have a virus, so please ignore the message.

Students also need to be fluent on their addition and subtraction.  Fluent means that your child can complete 20 problem in one minute or less.  To practice for this students can visit this site: TIMED MATH FACTS to practice.

# Unit 10 Jeopardy

We have a test on unit 10 tomorrow.  This unit covered reflections, rotations, and translations, as well as lines of reflection and lines of symmetry.  As always, students are encouraged to create a 20 problem practice test and solve it OR play Jeopardy and record their answers.  All practice tests and Jeopardy boards will earn 5 bonus points on tomorrow’s test.  Everyone is encouraged to practice for our test 🙂

# Unit 9 Math Test

We have a test on unit 9 tomorrow.  This unit covered fraction, decimal and percents, as well as multiplying and dividing decimals.  As always, students are encouraged to create a 20 problem practice test and solve it OR play Jeopardy and record their answers.  All practice tests and Jeopardy boards will earn 5 bonus points on tomorrow’s test.  Everyone is encouraged to practice for our test 🙂

# Math Test Tomorrow

We have finished unit 5, and it’s time to practice for our test tomorrow! Students that make a practice test or complete the Jeopardy game will earn an EXTRA 5 points on their test!! Remember that once you open the Powerpoint presentation . . . you need to play the SLIDESHOW to play the game.
